Texts

Our primary reader, A Postmodern Reader (eds. Joseph Natoli and Linda Hutcheon) is available at Huntley Bookstore. Other required theoretical and critical readings are contained in the course packet, available in the English department office. A copy of this packet is on reserve in Honnold, and another copy is on reserve in the English department library. All of the novels should be purchased as soon as possible from the bookseller of your choice (amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com will likely be cheapest). It is your responsibility to make sure that you get these books on time:

Robert Coover, The Universal Baseball Association, Inc., J. Henry Waugh, Prop.
Don DeLillo, Mao II
Toni Morrison, The Bluest Eye
Maxine Hong Kingston, The Woman Warrior
William Gibson, Neuromancer
Cervantes, Don Quixote (Penguin Classics edition, please)
Kathy Acker, Don Quixote
Martin Amis, London Fields
A. S. Byatt, Possession
Ruth Ozeki, My Year of Meats

I also recommend that anyone who needs a bit of background to the theoretical readings get a copy of Peter Brooker's A Concise Glossary of Cultural Theory.
